I have totally, without any thought or caution falling in love with vintage scarfs and aprons. Go figure. So while on vacation I spent a lot of time cruising the Internet looking at vintage this and vintage that. And then I found it, a vintage black and white apron that I want so much I can almost reach around to tie it behind my back. So I added it to my wish list. Then I found another 'oh my gosh' thing and couldn't help myself but get it. A vintage scarf curtain. I know it's not some people's taste and it may not even be pretty to some but I'm not sure what it is or why it happened but it was just one of those things that I said 'yep, I'll be your new owner!' Can you just imagine how even better it's going to look when we get the kitchen painted a nice melted butter color? I just can't wait.
Look how pretty it is blowing in the breeze over my kitchen sink. (Don't look at my dirty dishes, I've been busy!)

It's romantic and whimsical. It's vibrant and fun. I LOVE it! Be careful washing those dishes...keep the water spots and ickies off of those BEAUTIFUL curtains.
Just a thought from a fabric junkie... bright sunlight through the window will cause them to deteriorate! (so will fluorescent lights). Cheap curtains from Wal-Mart...not a problem. Rare vintage scarves...well, just something to be aware of! They do look very cool!
Oh crude. Thanks for pointing that out List. I didn't even think about it. Hmmmm if I kept them spread open during the day and then when the sun goes down pull them closed, would that help any? I didn't even think about sun damage. Thanks for watching my six.
